My First Quilt

When Lynne from Lily's Quilts posted yesterday about the first anniversary of her first quilt, it stuck in my mind for a while and got me thinking about my first quilt. After I made it I always reckoned I should have made a cushion to start with and sometimes am amazed that I kept quilting - I found it so hard.

I am however, still fond of it and now look back on it as the start of an amazing journey.
I thought it might be fun for you to show your first quilt..............

  2. It's so nice to see your first quilt, Shelia! I love how you embroidered like that so that your family will remember that it is your first one too. I haven't made a large quilt before, but I have made a laptop sized quilt which I hope counts!

  9. What a brilliant idea - lovely to see everyone`s quilts and how amazing they all are. My first quilt was the Union Jack in pastels, which I made for my friend`s daughter, Leonora.

  12. What a brilliant idea!
I sometimes forget to go back and look at the photo to see how great my first quilt was! It's nice to be reminded sometimes how far we've come, but also what we managed achieved then without the knowledge (and probably the tools) we have now.
