Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

Welcome to anyone who has dropped by from Sew Mama Sew for Giveaway Day.
I am offering this Sunshine & Showers mini quilt that I made in last year's Zakka Sew A Long. I hope it will bring a little sunshine wherever it may hang.

I am happy to post internationally - as I sit here typing I am looking out at the early evening sunshine and I can see my rhubarb which is doing extremely well this year - yum. To enter my giveaway just leave me a comment telling me which fruit or veg you grow or would grow if you could.
In the event that I get a deluge of entries, I will not reply individually if that's ok. If you think you are a no-reply blogger then please include your email address in the body of your comment. I will choose the winner as soon as practical given time differences etc, (late Friday 10th May or early Sat 11th) and if I am unable to contact you then I will re-draw until I find a winner that I can contact.
Now leave a comment and then pop over to Sew Mama Sew to see all the other goodies that you can try for.
Good luck!

  1. Arghhh, first comment = no chance of winning. But I will suck it in.

I love growing anything edible - it always tastes so much better. Runner beans have to be the tops.

  37. At my cottage we grow apples and pears and a lot of plums and grapes and figs and walnuts and almonds and I am hopeful that the deer have not eaten the raspberry bushes but who knows. Oh and we have a lot of different herbs too. I would love to win the little quilt, thank you for the chance.

  38. We have a few fruit trees, but have gone a bit mad in our veggie patch this year. Radishes, celery, beetroot, carrots, lettuce, sweetcorn, pumpkins, potatoes but my all time favourite is broad beans. I love to eat them raw, mashed on toast with lemon, garlic and olive oil. But for this they have to be really fresh and sweet, a few hours after picking they start to go a bit starchy and it's not the same.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I leave all the growing of things to my husband, my job is just to eat them! I have high hopes for the raspberry canes he planted this year :)

  63. A home grown garden with all sorts of vegetables. Nothing tastes better than home grown. Sames goes for quilts. Means so much more when it is homemade. Anybody can buy but it takes time and effort and hard work to make a quilt for yourself or someone else. That just means it is worth so much more. I will cherish this mini qult forever. It is so cute and I just love it already and my house will be filled with sunshine and showers because of you.

  64. Oh my, this is adorable!! I have the most opposite of a green thumb as you can possibly get, so I don't think I could grow anything. If I were to try though, I would try strawberries and tomatoes. Tomatoes are so much better fresh off the vine and strawberries are impossible to keep in my house, so I would save tons of money if I just grew them!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think I'd like to be able to grow Jazz apples...or money ;o)

    ReplyDelete

  94. I am growing cherry tomatoes. If I could I would grow artichokes!

    ReplyDelete
