Come to the conclusion that I am easily led - one minute I am trying hard to achieve a "modern" quilt...........
That's my wonky 9 patch pieced and ready to layer up........jury is out on this one...................
Next minute I am making hexagon templates and hand - stitching, and I think I might become addicted....no pics yet but I did make this today for a friend - used up the last tiny scraps of my vintage caravan fabric....
Note the shape..............I am lost.
I love them both! I have been cutting up paper shapes all evening!
ReplyDeletethey are su[er cute!! but I know what you mean; trying to get used to something new....nice work though
ReplyDeleteAdorable pin-cushion, esp. love the wee pocket in the back - and it's still modern looking (in a vintage kind of way! V.now!). Superb quilt too!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's all yummy wonderfulness. I get distracted by every new thing I see. I am hoping that eventually I ....Oh look, shiny!........

It can be fun to have fingers in a few different pies! And I *love* your little hexie pincushion!!
ReplyDeleteEmbrace your pleasure and enjoyment of it all - why do you have to be limited to one way or t'other? It's all yours for the taking as is clearly demonstrated by these fab makes. I have a penchant for traditional EPP, it's so therapeutic and your wee pincushion is very cute. That quilt is something else, well done for being brave and giving it your all! I especially love the way your blocks are joined without sashing.
ReplyDeleteVariety is the spice of our quilting life, different styles for different moods. Love all you've shared today.
ReplyDeletehe he he it's all part of my evil plan - welcome to the cult of the hexies!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the jury's out on the wonky 9 patch? I love it!
